School uniform

At Wellington, uniform is compulsory from Nursery to Year 6. Uniform must be purchased before your child starts school and we expect all children to wear the full school uniform every day. Please make sure that each item is clearly marked with your child’s name.

Our uniform policy is outlined below and all children need to follow the school’s uniform guidelines.

Main Uniform (Required Items):

• Burgundy Sweatshirt/Cardigan with school logo
• White Shirt 
• Dark Grey Trousers/Skirts/Pinafore dress
• Black School Shoes – No trainers or boots please 
  
   

Girls Uniform

• Burgundy / black coat
• White shirt
• Dark grey pinafore, skirt or trousers
• Burgundy ‘V-neck’ knitted jumper / cardigan
• Grey, black or white socks / tights
• Black flat shoes
• Hijabs (if worn) must be burgundy, black or white

In the summer term, girls can wear:

• Burgundy gingham dresses (with white socks or tights only)

Boys Uniform

• Burgundy / black coat
• White shirt
• Dark grey trousers
• Burgundy ‘V-neck’ knitted jumper
• Grey/black socks
• Black flat shoes

In the summer term, boys can wear:

• Short sleeve white shirts
• Dark Grey shorts

PE Kit

The PE Kit should include:

• Plain White round neck t-shirt or white t-shirt with school logo
• Burgundy shorts or Jogging bottoms
• Pair of black plimsolls (indoor) or trainers (outdoor)

Please note: In cold or wet weather pupils should wear a sensible coat or waterproof jacket. Hair bands, socks, tights, hijabs and head scarves may only be plain black, burgundy, grey or white. 

Jewellery: 

• Small gold or silver studs can be worn to school but must be removed on PE days
• No hooped earrings
• Only religious jewellery should be worn
• Children can wear a watch to school if they wish to do so, but it should not have the ability to connect to the internet or take photographs

Hair:

• Long hair should be tied back
• Hair accessories should be plain and small, no large bows or designs etc. and match school colours
• No colours in hair braids
